In 1953, the "Monument of Czech Literature" was founded in the building of the Strahov Monastery with the "Museum of Czech Literature." In 1964, the "Museum of Czech Literature" took over the literary archive from the National Museum with estates of writers, poets and cultural representatives. Among them is a smaller Heinrich Mann bundle catalogued in 1963. A second bundle was added in 1982.
