Video series Literature modern - Thomas Mann today. Contemporary authors take a stand!

Under the motto "Literature modern - Thomas Mann today. Contemporary authors take a stand!", the network has invited ten contemporary authors to discuss Thomas Mann, his works and the questions of his time.

Three of the authors (Olga Grjasnowa, Jonas Lüscher and Usama Al Shahmani) will be debating live in the Thomas Mann Archive Zurich on Monday, 20 September, from 8 pm, as part of the annual conference of the German Thomas Mann Society. They will discuss which continuities and breaks determine Thomas Mann's work from a contemporary perspective, what constitutes the writer's specific modernity and whether this is still connectable. The discussion will be moderated by Beate Tröger.
